It baffles me how some fans of the game think Lloyd is a dumb protagonist. I don’t even know how you can say that after scenes like these two.
#Lloyd is a great protagonist and I will stand by that against anyone who says otherwise.
People think Lloyd’s stupid because he doesn’t over-analyze things, when that trait is really what makes him so integral to the group. Lloyd sees things in black and white: Racism is wrong, sacrificing innocent people is wrong, holding grudges is wrong; it’s all plain and simple to him. His refusal to accept injustice, even when it seems like injustice is inevitable, is what ends up saving the world(s) in the end. Sure, things don’t fall into place perfectly, but he’s able to achieve way more than anyone before him, and I don’t think anyone who is so successful in his endeavors can be considered dumb.
