friendly reminder that cheria barnes was by no means ‘spoiled’. her parents? dead before we even met the characters. which means she lost them to war which guess what? prompts her to have a very rational fear of being left behind. guess what happens? her group of friends leave her behind? guess who’s pissed and has a right? cheria.
please stop putting so much effort into hating a fictional character, cheria is not solely focused on asbel. she isn’t stupid and guess what? neither is asbel. because they have a bigger problem on their hands which is why bashing her for being awkward around him is really uncalled for. the big problem being, idk my bff richard trying to suck all the life energy from the giant glowing bananas and wanting to kill us all?
cheria knows that obviously, and please stop calling asbel stupid for not noticing her feelings when he’s trying to keep the group together and keep two of his friends from killing themselves. “focused on the objective ” = does not equal stupid. if it was any of the other characters in richard and sophie’s shoes, he would be doing the exact same thing.
cheria is kind, has a temper, is flawed, just like the rest of the cast, and does more than just have a could-have-been-better romance storyline with asbel (which i still love ). she heals the party, she keeps them CLEAN, she feeds them food all the time and is one of if not the FIRST person to notice something is wrong with richard with a clear-head, even though i’m sure she still like asbel and sophie, was very fond of him.
so where is the spoiled brat thing again?
If I had to pick a single favourite Tales of game (that wasn’t Symphonia), it would be this one. I love Graces. The battle system (which can be somewhat complex but is extremely rewarding and wonderfully fun in single or multiplayer), the story, the characters, the F storyline, everything. This game is amazing. It left a really lasting impression on me and has given me a lot of inspiration. It’s a very meaningful game with a deep storyline but is perfectly capable of being lighthearted a lot more than you’d expect, and is funny but never irreverent. The writing is just wonderful. I highly recommend Graces, whether or not as a starting point. Basically, just play this game. I love this game.
Please support the artist and the publisher by purchasing the Tales of Graces Anthologies! This comic is from Vol. 2, sorry if it’s kind of poor quality this is only the second time I’ve done this, still learning.
